My dear daughter mentioned to me not long ago that my dating life sounded like the small town version of “Sex In The City”… only without quite so much sex.

Hmmmm.  Okay, well, out of the mouths of babes…

She insisted I start writing about them because surely if she found my dating adventures so fascinating then others would too… we’ll see.

But since she is my kid, I thought I’d humor her (and hopefully you too :) with some of my dating stories, aka Dawn’s Dating Adventures.

I’ve learned a few things along the way.

The same things I’ve shared with my daughter and her slew of girlfriends when they come to me with their dating dilemmas.

So I’m sharing what I’ve learned with you too, in hopes it might help you navigate through some of the treacherous waters of dating.

I’ve definitely learned how to avoid shark-infested waters (aka emotionally unavailable men and the ‘bad boys’ of dating).

It’s much more fun to swim with the dolphins and sea bass (aka men who know how to treat with women with love and respect).

But man did it take me awhile to learn how to figure out where to swim.

I’d love to short-cut that journey for you.

If nothing else, my musings may bring you a good laugh and let you know you’re not alone when it comes to dating blunders, foibles and mistakes :-)

I only ask that you try to be kind.  I’m far from perfect.  And I know it.
